Insects play important roles in our gardens by pollinating plants and controlling pests, making them essential for ecological gardening. This insect hotel helps various species nest and hibernate. Many insects are losing their habitats due to environmental changes, and this hotel aids in their protection. The red section at the bottom provides shelter for green lacewings, ladybirds, and earwigs, which all help control pests by eating aphids and spider mites. Fill this section with fine wheat straw for hibernation. Bees seek shelter in hollow sticks, preferring different diameters. It's advised to clean the bamboo straws with the included brush before setting up the insect hotel, as bees like straight paths for nesting.

Delivery and Shipping

Local deliveries - This area includes all of Dublin, North Kildare, North Wicklow, parts of Louth and Meath and other parts of Leinster too.  These are carried out by our friendly Monahan's drivers, we aim to have these deliveries made in 3-5 working days but very often much sooner.  Our drivers will do what they can to deliver your items exactly where you want them but some surfaces such as gravel, grass or steps as well as access issues will prevent us from being able to do this. Nationwide pallet deliveries - Most kiln-dried firewood, outdoor furniture, BBQs and outdoor heaters are shipped through the pallet network and we can only guarantee a curb side delivery.  You will be contacted before the items are shipped by the company carrying out the delivery.  On arrival, please check your order and notify us promptly of any issues.

Nationwide smaller items - Smaller orders including BBQ accessories, garden items, household essentials and fireside accessories are delivered nationwide with An Post. Please include your Eircode and a mobile number at checkout to avoid delays.
